The Starfire was built in 1970 and operated out of Westport, WA until it was bought in 2018 by current owner and operator Captain Sal Rocha. The Starfire was previously known as the Miss Nickle before the vessels name was changed in 2014. When the boat operated out of Westport, WA it offered albacore, salmon, and rockfish trips. In August of 2018, current owner and operator, Sal Rocha purchased the Starfire and brought the boat to her new home in Morro Bay, California.
The Starfire is 55' long with a beam of 19' and has a passenger capacity of 35 people. The boat features hot food with breakfast options available on every trip in addition there are lunch options available on 3/4 and full day trips. The galley is always stocked full with chips, candy, soda, and ice cold beer and has plenty of seating. There is numerous amounts of room for rod and tackle storage around the boat.
The Starfire specializes in rockfish and lingcod fishing charters based out of Morro Bay, California. We offer half day, three quarter day, and full day trips. We limit our trip load to 25 passengers to increase the quality of your experience and to maximize your time spent fishing on the Starfire. The crew has years of experience and is there to provide you with the assistance you need to have an epic time on the water regardless of your skill level.
